The rich history behind Waldom

Walden Electronics was founded in 1947 by two men; Walter and Dominic. The company started as a distributing agent of wartime surplus products. It continued running a business for over a decade before diversifying into other products.

In 1980, Waldom started accepting deals with other distributors in the field of electronics. Molex was the first distribution partner that Waldom entered into the business with. In 2003, Waldom was purchased by Ike Nizam. He did this after observing the good potential that the brand had in the field of electronics. His primary goal was to expand Waldom’s distribution capacity and make it a Master Distributor.

In 2010, Waldom introduced its excess inventory solutions, a move that was designed to extend the lifecycle of its slow-moving and excess inventory. By using this model, Waldom was aiming at helping distributors and suppliers make their businesses more profitable. In the same year, Waldom started focusing on expanding its geographical footprint. It opened a new office in Amsterdam which was intended to serve different regions such as Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

In 2018, Waldom opened offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen. This was a major move considering the fact these two cities are major technological and industrial hubs. This expansion move was also aimed at tapping the vast Chinese market.

2023 was a major year for the brand Waldom as it signed numerous partnership deals with many brands. It partnered with many suppliers and distributors in the field of electronics. The partnerships included independent distributors. It also partnered with many manufacturers, a move that increased the company's product offerings.
